Ready your laptop.
Run each check, collect its stamp, then export a field report of everything that passed. Nothing is installed. Everything runs in your browser; only the network tests use the internet, and only when you press Start.

Your checks
Browser support
Display
Fill the screen with solid colors to spot dead pixels, stuck pixels and uneven backlight. Click to change color, Esc to exit. View every fill and pattern (solid colors, gradient, checkerboard and grid) to earn the stamp.
More display tests
Banding: smooth gradients should have no visible steps. Ghosting: look for smeared trails behind the moving boxes, worst on the fastest rows. Backlight bleed: use a dark room and look for glowing edges on the black screen. Sharpness: the checkerboard should look an even grey, with no stripes or shimmer. Click or press Esc to exit each test.
Camera
Preview your webcam and see the resolution and frame rate it actually delivers.
Microphone
Speak and watch the level. Nothing is recorded. Get the peak above -40 dB to earn the stamp.
Touchpad & mouse
Move, left-click, right-click and scroll inside the box to earn the stamp. Try two-finger scroll and pinch on your touchpad.
Keyboard
Press every key. Tested keys turn green, held keys turn orange. Works on your built-in laptop keyboard.
Touchscreen & pen
Optional. Draw with one or more fingers or a pen. Fingers draw green, a pen draws orange, and a mouse draws tan. Touch the screen to earn the stamp.
Game controller
Optional. Connect a controller by USB or Bluetooth, then press any button to wake it up. Press a button to earn the stamp.
- No controller detected yet.
Speakers
Play tones through the left channel, the right channel or both, or sweep the full range to hear rattles and distortion. Play left and right to earn the stamp.

Drain tracker
Keep this tab open while you work on battery power. It records the charge every 30 seconds and estimates how long the battery will last. Needs about 10 minutes of unplugged data.
Network speed
Measures latency, download and upload speed using Cloudflare's public speed-test servers. It uses the internet only when you press Start. It sends random test data, never your files.
Press Start to begin. Speeds are approximate and depend on distance to the server and other devices on your network.

Can I reach…?
Checks whether common websites respond and how fast. Each site is contacted once when you press a button.
Wi-Fi stability
Pings a server about twice a second and graphs the delay. Carry your laptop around the house while it runs to see where the connection gets weak. Browsers can't read Wi-Fi signal strength, so this measures what you actually experience. It uses only a few kilobytes per minute.
Press Start. A lower, flatter line is better. Red marks mean a reply never arrived.
Performance
A short benchmark of your processor and memory, about 5 seconds. Close other tabs for a fair result, and run it again on battery power to see the difference.
System
What your browser can tell about this laptop: processor threads, memory, graphics and connection.
Field report
Every check you've run, with its result. Results are kept in this browser until you clear them.

What works where?
Camera, microphone, keyboard and speakers work in all current browsers. Battery info and speaker selection need Chrome, Edge or Opera. Camera and microphone need HTTPS or localhost and your permission.
How do stamps work?
A stamp is awarded when a test shows real results, such as every screen fill viewed or both speaker channels played. Speaker and display stamps record that the test ran; you judge by eye and ear whether it looked and sounded right.
Why does the drain tracker need the tab open?
A web page can only read the battery while it is running. Keep the tab open, even in the background, and plug-in periods are shown in green on the graph. Data stays in this browser for up to six hours.
What leaves my device?
Nothing, except when you press Start on the Network speed test, the Wi-Fi stability test or the website checks. Those talk to Cloudflare's speed servers and to the websites you choose. Every other check runs entirely in your browser.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. Open it once over HTTPS or localhost and it caches itself. In Chrome or Edge you can also use the install icon in the address bar to add it as an app.
Why can't I change settings?
Browsers can read and test hardware but can't change system settings such as keys, brightness or power plans. Use Windows settings for those.
